In 2022, Suzie proudly took over the family stitching business, originally founded as Taylor Made Covers. After 45 years at the helm, her father Mark passed the torch to the next generation.

Before joining the family trade, Suzie spent a decade working on the water — teaching sailing and working on charter yachts across the south coast. After getting married and settling back in Poole Harbour, she decided it was time to bring those skills ashore. That’s when The Cover and Sail Repair Shop officially opened its doors.

What started in a spare room quickly grew into a purpose-built workshop in the garden near Cobbs Quay. Today, Suzie continues the family tradition of craftsmanship, repairing and creating marine covers and sails to keep local sailors’ adventures running smoothly.
